Nestled in the heart of the famous Columbia Road Flower Market in East London, our Shoreditch store welcomes you on Saturdays and Sundays.
COLUMBIA ROAD
The Flower Market now has a new layout, with the stalls all along the north side of the street only, facing the shops and running from the Birdcage Pub along the street. This makes more space on the street and feels much less crowded even when busy on a Sunday morning.
There is free parking in the area on Saturdays and we are outside the congestion zone.
Our original store is a perfect example of a Victorian shop, full of character and charm. Why not come on a Sunday and experience the unique atmosphere and liveliness of the world-famous Flower Market.

HISTORY
Angela Flanders found her shop in the heart of the famous Sunday morning Flower Market at Columbia Road, Shoreditch, in the spring of 1985. She set about to restore this perfect example of a Victorian shop to its original character and charm. Known for its world-famous Sunday flower market, Columbia Road is one of the few streets in the capital composed entirely of independent shops, which are usually only open at weekends.
The street is a treasure trove, offering a diverse and eclectic range of carefully sourced, individual products not to be found elsewhere. Choose from artisan jewellers and booksellers to gift shops and galleries, antiques and homewares, children’s shops, perfumery and fashion boutiques, as well as critically-acclaimed restaurants and pubs.
The philanthropic Baroness Angela Coutts originally built the shops on a watercress field as a Victorian shopping arcade over 150 years ago. Columbia Road retains a Dickensian atmosphere with cobbled streets, traditional shop fronts and Victorian street lamps. The street and surrounding area are frequently used as film and television locations due to its unique character.
