Each Christmas our beautiful gold lady makes an appearance in our Columbia Road window. This year has been no exception and she appeared again at the beginning of November, just before lockdown, and has been shimmering, smiling and bringing evening cheer to all throughout the lockdown period.
It is a joy to see people stop and admire her, to see children's faces light up in wonder at her mysterious beauty. She is now in full view with our shops re opened and the added festive shopping Wednesdays on Columbia Road throughout December.
All the shops will be open from each Wednesday in December from 12 noon to 8pm along the street. Festive lights and the big Christmas Tree on the corner add to the ambiance. No carols or crowds this year but the chance to enjoy the wealth of creative and lovely gift ideas stocked by over 50 independent retailers on Columbia Road without the Sunday crowds or having to queue.
Longer opening hours on Wednesdays this year will ensure that you can shop and browse in comfort and at your leisure at a time of day to suit you.
